BORUS Childcare was founded in 1997 in Uithoorn. Nowadays BORUS takes care of more than a thousand children in the region of Amsterdam. Stephan van den Oetelaar, the founder of BORUS, joined the childcare sector in 1997. As an entrepreneur he noticed an increasing need for high-quality and stable childcare. He then applied his experience as an entrepreneur in, among other things, the automation industry, at the new childcare center.
ISO-certified
In 1999, BORUS was one of the first HKZ / ISO-certified childcare centers in the Netherlands. The introduction of this quality system contributes to a stable pedagogical climate.
Housing
Housing is an integral part of a childcare center and also determines the quality of the childcare. For this BORUS does not want to be dependent on a landlord. BORUS prefers to build her own accommodations. In addition, BORUS has its own maintenance staff and cleaners. BORUS now has 8 branches in the Amsterdam region.
